newly diagnosed diabetic

I have been recently diagnosed a diabetic. I've been struggling with high numbers while I'm trying to figure this all out. My doctor prescribed. Medication to help lower the blood sugar levels. Even on medication I was still struggling to get my numbers down. The pills were not a quick fix! I decided to try to educate myself on diabetes. I've done a lot of reading and came to the conclusion the high numbers were directly related to how I eat! Once I started eating healthy cutting down the carbs my numbers lowered into a good range! So along with the medicine and eating correctly you can drop your numbers into normal range! If you are a diabetic and your numbers are high for a long period of time you will run a risk of severe complications! There are many free resources out there to help diabetics. One thing that helped me was the use of some diabetic cookbooks! Don't just sit those free cookbooks you get with your meter on a shelf! Actually open them a try out some recipes! Those books have a way of making other wise bland food taste delicious! Truly this is a serious matter and it requires some effort on your part. So be active in your fight against diabetes! Eat right exercise ! You will be truly amazed at the wonderful results you will get! So don't just keep wondering why those numbers are high, give it a try! I was truly amazed on what a positive effect eating correctly had on my numbers! You are your best defence against rising glucose levels! Give it a try today! Pull out an old diabetes cookbook and see for yourself! It really works!
